Special Issue Proposal Form
- Basics
- Provide the title of the proposed Special Issue and specify the order of guest editors.
- Written Proposal:
- Prepare a concise 1-page proposal that:
- Clearly defines the special topic or common theme(s) that unify the collection of papers.
- Justifies the timeliness of the topic by reviewing recent special issues on similar subjects and highlighting advancements provided by the papers in relation to existing knowledge.
- Demonstrates the relevance of the proposed Special Issue to the audience/readership of IJIETAP and the field.
- Peer Review Process Organization:
- Outline your plan for organizing the peer review process, including strategies for recruiting potential reviewers beyond the ones listed in the IJIETAP database.
- Optional: Call for Papers (CFP):
- If available, attach a draft one-page Call for Papers (CFP) document.
- Potential Contributors:
- Provide a list of potential contributors, including probable paper submissions, titles, and authors' abstracts if available.
- Attracting Potential Contributors:
- Describe methods to attract and find potential contributors, ensuring a diverse author base in terms of geographical spread and gender.
- Explain your strategies for advertising the Special Issue.
- Tentative Schedule:
- Present a tentative schedule for the call, submission, review, and publication process, including:
- Date of online CFP publication.
- Expected date of the first submission.
- Completion date for the first round of reviews.
- Deadline for revised manuscripts.
- Completion date of the review and revision process (final notification).
- Guest Editor's Information:
- Provide information about the proposed Guest Editor, including their title, institutional email address, affiliation, fields of interest, and institutional home page.
- Include a short biography highlighting their qualifications for editing this specific Special Issue. Guest Editors should be internationally renowned experts in the topic.
- Requirement for Post-Conference Special Issue:
- If this is a post-conference Special Issue, the editor-in-chief or one of the associate editors must be included in the international advisory committee or program committee of the associated conference. They should oversee the proper preparation, progress and quality of the conference.
- IJIETAP may request one of its representatives to be invited to the conference, and the conference will cover their expenses for the same purposes.
- Managing Guest Editor's Responsiveness:
- The Managing Guest Editor must promptly respond to notifications from the editorial office or journal management system and actively participate in the review process. Failure to do so may result in IJIETAP taking over to expedite the review process.
* Breach: Whenever the proposed party fails to perform their promised obligations, IJIETAP has reserved the right to cancel the Special Issue.
